Miniature painting

For my next project in my drawing class, I thought of doing some serious stuff.
Choose to do a rajasthani miniature. Then my SIL gave me two pictures which is a simpler version of the ones I selected. I decided to do those first as it would be give me some chance to practice.

Here is one of them. Here is one more ...

More madhubani

Recently I completed the madhubani with acrylic paint on paper.

Here it is ...

TAST 12- week 5 - Herringbone stitch

In TAST 12 week 5, it is herringbone stitch. This seems to be one of my favorites.
Though I tried couple of motifs and borders, havent got a chance to explore much. As and then, will add more to this set.

Herringbone as a filler ...

TAST 12- week 4 - Cretan stitch

Tast 12- week 4 is cretan stitch.
Here are my attempts of cretan in a straight row, in a circle, in a motif.
My stitches are not accurate, as it requires more practice especially when done in a circle.

TAST 12- week 3-feather stitch

TAST 12 week3 was feather stitch. Since I got busy with other things at home, I couldnt post my work on feather stitch.

Here is the one which I used embroidery thread and some sequin/bead on churidar top.

Recent one is another attempt on feather stitch as a motif on my daughter's blouse.Next one is with mirror and will be used as a yoke. Third one is done with kadai kamal thread and is on a dress.

TAST 12- week 1

There is this Take a stitch tuesday challenge which I have observed before. This time, I thought I would give it a try. Pintagle stitch dictionary is a favorite of mine as it always comes in handy.

So, for the week1, the stitch given was 'FLY stitch'
Here is my attempt on fly stitch. Actually once this is finished it will be used as yoke for my salwar dress(indian version of tunic).

I have used two rows of fly stitch back to back , with lazy daisy and some sequin and bead.
Finished will have two such bands. :)

Here is the link for the pintangle tast12.

Finished yoke would look like this..
